Plastering does generate dust and debris, so protecting your home is built into the job. Flooring and furniture are covered with sheeting throughout, damaged coving or cornice is repaired to match the existing profile where possible, and the work area is cleaned thoroughly on completion.

Damp-damaged plaster is treated honestly. We can replaster walls affected by damp once the underlying moisture issue has been addressed, and if a damp specialist needs to resolve the root cause first, we will tell you rather than skimming over a problem that will only return.

Fresh plaster needs time before it can be painted. A newly skimmed surface typically needs around five to seven days to dry fully, though this varies with room ventilation and the time of year, and we advise you on realistic timing for your specific job at quote stage.

Every job follows the same disciplined sequence. It begins with a site visit to assess the extent of plastering work required, then careful preparation of the surface, including removal of any loose or damaged material. A skim coat is applied to a smooth, even finish, given drying time, then sanded, inspected and handed over ready for painting.
