Marmorino sits between the high sheen of classic polished plaster and a plainer matt paint, giving a softer, textured lime-plaster look that still carries real depth. For bathrooms and wet rooms, Tadelakt is applied and then sealed so it is genuinely water-resistant, unlike standard Venetian plaster which is decorative rather than waterproof. This is what allows a seamless, tactile plaster finish to be used where you would normally expect tiles, giving a wet area a soft, continuous surface with no grout lines to maintain.

Part of what makes a polished plaster wall feel expensive is the way light moves across it. Because the surface is burnished rather than flat, it catches and softens daylight and lamplight differently through the day, so the wall never looks quite the same twice. It is this movement, more than any single colour, that sets the finish apart from paint.
