Wallcovering Installation Ifield

Before anything goes on the wall we plan the pattern layout, working out how the repeats fall so joins and bold designs align correctly across the room. This planning minimises wasted material and is the difference between a large-repeat or feature pattern that flows properly and one that jars at every seam. We never simply start hanging and hope the pattern works out.

The same care applies across every type of wallcovering we install. As well as standard wallpaper in all styles and weights, we hang textured papers, vinyl wallcoverings, grasscloth and other natural materials, feature walls and bespoke designer wallcoverings. Each material is handled with the technique it needs, all finished to one consistent, professional standard.

Hanging is carried out carefully with close attention to every seam and edge. Bold patterns, textured papers and large-repeat designs are the least forgiving, so each drop is aligned and finished so joins are clean and the pattern reads as one continuous surface. That precision is exactly why experienced installation matters more with wallcovering than almost any other decorating task.

Because we are painters and decorators as well as wallcovering installers, the surrounding paintwork can be handled by the same team on the same visit. That means ceilings, woodwork and adjacent walls are finished to sit properly against the new wallcovering, with one contractor responsible for the whole room rather than several trades to coordinate.
